If you are an Airsofter, that’s .....YOU!.
As a Members Club we do not gain from any profit from monies that we raise within the Club.
The Club funds, home and away events to other Airsoft sites for all its members and receive free BBs during home events.
Members receive free of charge bbs and pyros subject to funds as well as a fuel allowance when attending away games.
We have just spent over £700 on our members allowing them to attend the Uprising event which was a charity event for the Bamako Bampots charity.
This was our way of donating to the charity and allowing our members to attend the event.
Money that we raise via subscriptions, game fees and donations and sponsors allow us to do this and allows us to put on our own charity events in aid of Help of Heroes and Afghan Heroes as well as totally free events.
Airsoft, generally combines airsoft play with some military live-action role-playing elements.
This type of play may be considered "hard core" by many players because of the heightened amount of role playing required.
Several goals or missions may be assigned to each team along with a basic load-out, imitation weapon and ammunition,
in the form of bio-degradable bbs, rations and radios.
A key element in Military Simulation games is the use of low-capacity magazines,
replicating the actual magazine capacity of the authentic firearm the airsoft gun is replicating.
Examples of these include the 30 round magazines of the M4, M16, Type 89, SCAR-L and several others.
Teams will remain in the field for the duration of play, only returning to a staging area (START POINTS) or (END POINTS)
or a dedicated "safe zone" area for medical emergencies and for other special circumstances.
Military simulation games can often last a number of days.
True Military Simulation requires players to adhere to an agreed level of uniform authenticity and to play as part of a team.
Open Days
Also known as pickup games or skirmishes, this is the more common form of airsoft.
These games are considerably less strict with their rules and restrictions and therefore is the style of play for most players
and a common event even for MilSim players.
Realism may be broken in this style of play with things like high-capacity magazines,
clothing that doesn't match with any nation's (or non-military style dress), and lax rules to name a few examples.
Occasionally, teams may use specific uniforms on either side, but usually players dress in a variety of military or paramilitary clothing to their liking.
Skirmishes are often structured as multiple short to mid length games containing various different scenarios, including capture the flag style games.
Other skirmishes can run for the entirety of the game day, playing out like a much shorter MilSim Event,
including full game plans with objectives, from anything as simple as capturing a certain location.
Airsoft games are not limited to MilSim or "Open Days" modes. There is great versatility and flexibility in play styles.
They tend to uses specific part of the forest that is within their permissions area and tend to move through the forest by foot mainly,
and restrict their gaming to100 meters away from any main roads through the forest
They have designated Safe Zones, Start and End points for their days airsofting.
To which they travel by car and park at that point, they erect notices at either end of the designated area
of the forest to notify the general public as to what they are doing in the area and also notify the local police force each time they have an event.
These events are attended by members of the general public members of the Territorial Army, also active services and even members of the local and surrounding police forces who are also people who regard this sport as a their hobby.
We know times are hard at the moment and we find that members do find it difficult from time to time to be able to afford airsoft events
so this is another way in which we can give something back to our members as well as being a good bit of advertising for the club.
